About Us

We dance for Jesus.

AO1 is a hip hop youth worship dance team based out of the NY/NJ area. Every summer, AO1 hosts a dance camp for teenagers with a mission to grow them in dance and faith.

AO1 was founded in December 2019, after a group of youth were asked to perform for a conference. Since then, AO1 has been bringing together the next generation to dance for God.

AO1 stands for Audience of 1, meaning that our performance and our dance is solely for 1 being, and that is Jesus. Our reason for dance is not to gratify ourselves or to please others; our purpose of dance is to bring glory to God.

Our Mission

We aim to give everyone an opportunity to learn not only how to dance but also how to worship with our all. Dance and praise become one, aligning our spirit and flesh to give glory to God.

Learn.

Taking from what we learn, we provide platforms for our members to further praise God. Whether it is through live performances or filming dance videos, we become vessels for others to experience God as well

Perform.

The centerpiece and foundation for AO1 is worship. We recognize that everything we do must be wholly dedicated to God and be for God. We take joy in this and dedicate all of our dance for our Savior.

Worship.

AO1 Teams

  • AO1 Faith is our oldest group of dancers, for upcoming grades 9-12 (high school). You can register for AO1 Faith in our “Program” tab.

  • AO1 Hope is our middle school group of dancers, for upcoming grades 5-8. You can register for AO1 Hope in our “Program” tab.

  • AO1 Love is our youngest group of dancers, for upcoming grades 1-4. AO1 Love practices their dance through our summer camp. Anyone who registers for the summer camp, takes part of this team as well. In other words, AO1 Love’s program is a part of AO1 Summer Camp.
